* The PIONEER TwinControl is inspired by Hanhart’s first pilot chronographs with the “Calibre 41” movement with column wheel and flyback function from 1939. In addition to the unmistakable bicompax design of the dial, it is distinguished by the typical characteristics of a Hanhart chronograph. The upper chronograph button, positioned asymmetrically towards the lug, is especially striking and is a feature unique to this watch manufacturer. No less striking is the red reset pusher, Hanhart’s trademark feature from 1939 onwards.

Tradition and Expertise since 1882.

Hanhart first began trading on July 1st 1882 when Swiss watchmaker Johann A. Hanhart opened a watch shop in Diessenhofen, north-east Switzerland. The company quickly re-located to Schwenningen, southern Germany in 1902 and found instant success in 1924 with their first affordable, mechanical stopwatch. By 1938, Hanhart were a pioneer in the production of mechanical chronograph wristwatches, designed for pilots and by the 1960s had also moved into fine timing for sports events and motor racing.

Today, Hanhart still produce a varied range of wristwatches and fine timing stopwatches, tapping into their rich heritage of mechanical watchmaking know-how to produce pieces of incredible craftmanship and functional good looks.
