* The Omega Suverän carries with it an interesting history. Sold exclusively within Sweden during during WWII and post war, the watch was used to partially fund the country's economy during the war, sort of like a horological equivalent to war bonds. Available in numerous dial configurations, the Suverän was housed in a 35mm anti-magnetic stainless steel case with a screw down back, which bore either the "SUVERAN" signature or the words “ANTIMAGNETISK, VATTENTAT, STÖTSKYDDAD ("anti-magnetic, waterproof, shockproof"). Powered by the manually wound, 15-jewel Omega cal. 30T2 PC AM, a version of the vaulted 30T2 with the addition of Incabloc shock protection.

* This particular model features a black dial, Arabic numerals and luminous syringe shaped hands with small second sub-dial by 6 o'clock. The watch comes fitted to a black/brown cordovan leather strap with pin buckle and comes in a nicely aged condtion with lovely patina to the dial, numerals and hands. The watch can be dated to 1944 and comes in perfect working order. A lovely watch with an interesting history.
