* Very little can be found on the history of Vintan, but the most likely story would be of a Swiss brand who succumbed during the "quartz crisis" in the 1970s, never to re-surface. This watch as a standalone piece looks to be of a 1960s era and obviously intended as a military styled design with plane design on the black dial. The 37mm, monobloc steel case features a bi-directional bezel, plexi-glass and houses a Landeron 248, manual wind chronograph movement. The dial is very attractive in faded black with beige lume and a cool hand set with lollipop chronograph second hand. The watch comes fitted to a green nato strap although this can be changed to any 19mm strap of choice.
* This watch comes in overall good condition for its age and perfect working order, keeping good time. A nice military style chronograph from an old, now defunct Swiss watch house.
