* ``What if the legendary 417 ES, once created for army pilots, had a successor with enhanced functions?`` With the new Red Lion Mk II, Hanhart answers precisely this question. Together with TGV, founder of the pioneering YouTube channel “The Urban Gentry” and design studio “Gentry Labs”, a chronograph was created that picks up on the functional DNA of the historic 417 ES and develops it further - a timepiece with many functions designed for everyday use.

* The ``Big Eye`` at 3 o'clock and small minute stop hand with Super-Luminova® and red hand tip significantly increase the legibility of the stop minute. The precise 24-click, 12-hour stainless steel bezel enables the quick and easy setting of a second time zone, also known as ``GMT-light``, without compromising the functionality and readability of the watch. The date at 6 o'clock and a flyback movement with column wheel complete the chronograph, making it the perfect companion - from the cockpit to the office!

* This limited edition of 200 pieces is available in a 39mm steel case with steel bracelet on fold clasp offering "on the fly" adjustment.

Tradition and Expertise since 1882.

Hanhart first began trading on July 1st 1882 when Swiss watchmaker Johann A. Hanhart opened a watch shop in Diessenhofen, north-east Switzerland. The company quickly re-located to Schwenningen, southern Germany in 1902 and found instant success in 1924 with their first affordable, mechanical stopwatch. By 1938, Hanhart were a pioneer in the production of mechanical chronograph wristwatches, designed for pilots and by the 1960s had also moved into fine timing for sports events and motor racing.

Today, Hanhart still produce a varied range of wristwatches and fine timing stopwatches, tapping into their rich heritage of mechanical watchmaking know-how to produce pieces of incredible craftmanship and functional good looks.
