* The M-52B AF evokes the exceptionally rare Ollech & Wajs B-905 ‘US Airforce’ – a watch that was custom made more than half a century ago for airmen serving in Vietnam. It also salutes the longest-serving combat aircraft in history. The dial of the new M-52B AF bears the silhouette of the Boeing B-52 Stratofortress, which in the year 2024 marks the 70th anniversary of the 1954 maiden flight of the first B-52 production model.

* The M-52 B AF features a robust 39 mm M-type case and a PVD-coated chamfered-edge bezel, modelled on the streamlined nose cone profile of the B-52. Intermittent cream lume on the bezel, dial indexes and hands adds warmth to the overall monochromatic scheme. Vintage enthusiasts will appreciate the red numeral date wheel, in keeping with the original B-905. The engine of the M-52B AF is a customised, Swiss made, Soprod calibre P024, chosen for its robustness, reliability and serviceability. A gently domed, thickened sapphire crystal helps ensure an impressive 300 m water resistance, which has become a characteristic of all Ollech & Wajs modern pilot’s watches.

* The M-52B AF is presented on a military-grade black nylon RAF strap.

The Re-Birth of Ollech & Wajs.

The name Ollech & Wajs began in 1956, when Zurich resident Albert Wajs decided to partner with his friend Joseph Ollech and open a luxury watch shop, initially retailing Breitling and Omega before launching their own brand: Ollech & Wajs Zürich.

By the 1960s the Ollech & Wajs range consisted of men's chronographs, diving watches (in particular the Caribbean 1000, which was, as its name suggested, the first 1000m water resistant diving watch), military watches, much appreciated by American soldiers who ordered OWs for entire battalions during the Vietnam war and also pilot’s watches, which the French Air Force commissioned for active use.

Ollech & Wajs, now under new ownership have returned to the company's heyday and strive to manufacturer high quality, Swiss made sports watches with a nod to the classic designs of their 60s predecessors. All OW watches have a 90% Swiss made origin and are designed at their headquarters: Ollech & Wajs Precision A.G. on Bergstrasse in Zurich and then individually assembled and adjusted in Haute-Sorne, in the Swiss Jura.
