Equipped with NOMOS' new automatic movement - caliber DUW 6101, which allows the date to be shown in a new and symmetrical way. The date ring sits around the edge of the dial and features two red markers that frame the date as it passes through the month. The slightly larger 41mm case size does not detract from the slenderness and balanced form which Tangente is so well known, whilst the slim movement creates a mere 7.9mm in case depth.

Nomos was founded in the small town of Glashütte in eastern Germany just after the fall of the Berlin wall. Even though the market was demanding Quartz, Nomos took a chance and focused on producing purely mechanical watches.
Today, Nomos Glashütte is one of only a handful of watch companies to call themselves a manufactory, meaning it is a company which develops and constructs its own movements rather than buying in movements from other companies.
