* Fears is a British watch company established in 1846 by Edwin Fears in Bristol, England. The company traded up until 1976 when - like many mechanical watch brands - they succumbed to the emergence of cheap quartz watches being imported from Japan. Fears lay dormant up until 2016 when Nicholas Bowman-Scargill, an apprentice Rolex watchmaker and great, great grandson of Edwin Fears re-established the company and resumed trading back in their hometown of Bristol.
* This particular model is called Brunswick 38 Polar White and takes its design cues from previous Fears models from the 20s and 30s. Featuring a beautiful 38mm cushion shaped case, skelotonised, blued syringe shaped hands and clean white dial with Arabic numerals. The watch houses an ETA 7001 manually wound movement and comes fitted to an attractive 5-link steel bracelet with butterfly clasp. In a similar vain to Grand Seiko, what appears at first to be a rather understated watch, upon closer inspection the attention to detail in every aspect of this watch is quite something to see in the metal!
* This watch comes in superb condition condition (9.5/10) and perfect working order. Box and papers dated January '23 are included. Current new list price £3150.00
