* Le Cheminant Watch Company is a British brand that dates back to the first half of the 19th century. Originally a jeweller, it since became principally a watch maker and, in the early 20th century, supplied chronometers and deck watches to the Royal Navy. Since the 1950s Le Cheminant concentrated on watches and in the late 1960's to early 70's, one of its most popular releases was the Master Mariner. This model came in various guises but the manually wound chronograph, which you see listed here would be considered the brand's most sought after release.

* As Le Cheminant watches were all manufactured in Switzerland, the Master Mariner Chronograph was no different and was actually produced by famous Swiss brand Ollech & Wajs (the company's name is stamped within the case back of this watch). The watch bears more than just a passing resemblance to O&W's famous and highly collectable Astrochron model, which was produced around the late 60s and is fitted with the Landeron manually wound chronograph caliber 349 and features a gorgeous reverse panda dial layout with rotating bezel and housed within a chunky 38mm steel case.

* This watch has been fully serviced by a vintage watch expert and comes in lovely, original condition with an attractive patina to the dial, bezel markers and hands. An O&W leather strap has been fitted to the watch.
