* The Seiko Lord Marvel was introduced in 1958 by Suwa Seikosha and was Seiko’s first ever luxury model. The watch offered here is a 1st generation Lord Marvel and the carving of the Lord Marvel logo was hand carved by the same expert craftsmen at the Suwa factory who were carving the logo for the first Grand Seiko watches. In addition, this is a "special dial" Lord Marvel as indicated by the sun shaped octagonal logo above six o'clock, meaning that the indexes of this watch are made of solid gold and were hand planted (instead of glued). This watch features a 34mm steel case with silver dial and dagger hands, the watch is powered by a 23-jewel Seiko Marvel manually wound movement and has been fitted to an 18mm tan, ostrich srap.
* This watch can be dated to circa early 1960s and comes in overall excellent condition for its age (8/10) and perfect working order, keeping good time. A fantastic opportunity to own a part of Seiko's first move into luxury watchmaking.
